Holidays and After-Hours Messages. Don’t forget to extend that great sound to greetings after hours and in other times of closure like holidays and, if applicable, when foul weather prohibits opening. Certain phone systems have specific, user-friendly capabilities for programming these types of greetings.
If you wish to record your own personal greeting you will need to select option 4 (Personal Options) to record your greeting otherwise the voicemail will play the standard greeting and insert the recording of your name. To divert your phone to voicemail, Press your 'Divert' key and dial 51 as the destination to receive your calls.

Offer other contact information such as a cell phone or email address if you will check it (i.e. on vacation). DON’T: Be too informal, even if you are creating a humorous message. Give a prolonged sales pitch in your voicemail greeting message. Waste a caller’s time with an excessively long greeting before they can leave their message.

You will now be returned to the Queue settings, and will see the new mailbox reflected in Timeout Destination. To finish configuring the queue, click the + button for Queue Agents, once for each extension you wish to have in the queue. For example, if you have 3 helpdesk extensions, click this 3 times.

Please leave a message with your name and phone number, and I will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you. Informal voicemail greetings. Some businesses are in the “business” of being less formal than a law firm, for example. And that’s okay. Informal greetings can be more approachable, as if someone is calling a friend.
This feature mimics an answering machine. Five seconds after a call is answered by an extension user’s voice mailbox, that user can monitor/screen the caller as they leave a message.
Each menu has a list of customizable options that can transfer callers further either to another account object (e.g. user's voicemail, hunt group, dial by name directory, etc.) or to a sub-menu. To configure it navigate to HostPilot > Services > Unite > Auto Attendant > Auto Attendant Name > Business Hours > Business hours Menu in question > Not set up button next to the option you wish to manage. Click on a number key and choose an option for it. Repeat this for each key you want to use as an option in the Business hours. There are several actions that can be set up for a button: Make sure you are on the Business Hours tab and navigate to the menu tree number to enable/disable the Dial By Extension. Choose the routing: Route to User: when selected, a drop-down is displayed to the right that lists all users who have an extension/phone number assigned. Select user to redirect the call to when a caller presses the corresponding key. Note: this option is not available if you do not have any users with extensions. Dial By Name Directory: enables the options of Dial by name. After the Dial By Name Directory is enabled, make sure your greeting gives the caller instructions for which number to press to get to the Dial By Name option. When the callers press the assigned Dial by Name option, they will hear the following recording:
