If there are other ways to get in touch with your business, or receive information about your products, you may want to include them in the after hours greeting. Websites and emails are often the most popular forms of alternative contact.
You can’t just make any voicemail message and think that it’s going to be the right fit, your voicemail messages need to have the following tips below so that it can function as a lead capture when you’re not present.

Assign different functions to each keypad number. These settings direct your customers where they need to go when they enter a specific number on their phone.

When using mobile numbers, we recommend setting Call Confirm to On. This feature prompts the receiver to press 1 to accept the call, which prevents the mobile phone's voicemail or out of service error messages from interrupting the call flow.

You have stated your calls-to-action. Now you have to make sure they know the process to follow. If you want your customers to leave their voicemail messages, you have to tell them from the start, “Kindly leave your name, purpose of your call, and how to contact you.”

If the call is after hours, then it must REALLY be an emergency (C-level or high level manager) so one of us will answer. Anything else goes to the help desk. If you designate a phone number for anything other than an emergency, then 9 times out of 10 people will call you for piddly little stuff that they could just send to help desk.
* If you forget your voicemail password, there's no way to reset it from your iPhone. You need to contact your carrier to reset your password. If you insert a new SIM card, you might lose the voicemails that you saved on your iPhone.

Temporary or “Out of Office” Voicemail Greeting is set when you will be out of the office for a predetermined amount of time, or may be played during temporary closure or out of office hour calls. 6. After-Hour Options. Thanks for calling [Company Name]. Our offices are currently closed. Our business hours are from Monday to Friday 9 AM to 8 PM Eastern Time, and Saturday 9 AM to 12 PM Eastern.
Make sure you don’t use a monotone voice when you record your business voicemail greetings. Use inflection in your voice so you don’t sound like a robot.
