Creating a personal voicemail greeting is important for both your personal and business phone lines. Greetings not only let callers know that they reached the correct number, but gives you a chance to provide important instructions that will help streamline your voicemails. The method for creating your greeting will vary depending on the device you are using and whether the phone number is used for business or personal reasons. A private voicemail box enables a person to receive telephone messages when the phone cannot be answered.
ProTip: When recording a business voicemail greeting, do a trial run and listen to your message once it’s recorded to make sure it sounds great.

Your prospects are under the impression that a brand will be always available to cater to them, now for some circumstances, a few brands might not be able to serve their prospects 24/7 which is why creating a voicemail message becomes useful.
To set up voice mail, tap the Phone icon, tap the Voicemail icon and then "Greeting.". There are two options available: Default and Custom. If voice mail hasn't been set up previously on your phone, Default is selected, which means people will hear your wireless carrier's generic voice mail greeting when they call you.
Record up to 10 voicemail greetings and select the one that you want callers to hear. Record a new greeting. When you use the Google Voice app, you can record a greeting up to 3 minutes long. If you use Safari to record the greeting, it can only be one minute long. If you don't record a new greeting, callers hear the default greeting.
In the Destination field, select the ring group you created in the previous step that contains the mobile numbers.
