Note: The primary phone number cannot be unassigned from the Auto Attendant. To release the main number, you need to swap it with another spare phone number on the account. Released numbers can be later assigned to a user, a Hunt Group, or any other object on the account. Toll-free numbers cannot be used as primary users' numbers.
Hello, you have reached the law offices of X. Unfortunately, I am attending to another client right now, but I will return your call as soon as I can. Please leave me your name, reason for calling, and your number so I can connect you with the right department. This is far more professional than the other examples given in this guide. Lawyers should always be formal, smooth, and confident. Nobody is calling to make friends. They’re calling to get the job done. That’s why your message should be all business.

We strongly recommend you change your voicemail password as soon as possible. By default, it is your extension number. Anyone who knows this can access your mailbox through the web and listen to and delete your messages, see your call logs, and modify settings on your extension. Press the Message key. Enter your password, followed by the # key. Press 0 for Mailbox Options. Press 5 to change your password. Please enter your new password, followed by the pound key. Re-enter your password followed by the pound key for confirmation. If everything is correct, the system will tell you your password has been changed.
Before you record your business greeting, make sure to write it down first. Finalize your script and then rehearse a few times before you record the final business voicemail.
