A professional voicemail greeting is essential in many aspects of a business. In sales, it enables you to properly respond to inquiries from prospects and customers or discuss a deal in more detail. When they call, and you can’t answer, you may lose the opportunity for immediate communication and potentially lose a client or customer.
9. Update Your Greeting Frequently. Many of the things that can make your voicemail great, also require that you update it pretty regularly. Information like deals you’re running, when you’re away, and who to contact while you’re out can take your greeting to the next level, but they’re obviously time sensitive.
If you will have agents in multiple queues, and would like them to be able to identify which queue the call is coming from, you can set Caller ID Prefix to a short text string which will show on the receiving handset as part of the Caller ID. For example, if this is set to SAL and a call is received from 0712345678, the handset's caller ID will show SAL 0712345678. In the Queue Timeout field, select the maximum amount of time a caller can be in the queue before they are sent to the voicemail box.
