"The way I see voicemail is that the main purpose of it is to direct the prospect to your email. You only really have five or 10 seconds within that voicemail to capture their attention, so I have a specific script that I use which makes sure that they know who I am and where I'm calling from so that they can go back to their inbox and then search it up...I'll say, "Hi Scott, this is Florin calling from Loopio. I sent you an email yesterday regarding improving your RFP response process. But I have not heard back from you. Can you give it a quick glance and reply back? Again it's Florin calling from Loopio.'"

If they are calling without an expectation that you always pick up (such as if you are a business coach or a one-man shop) then thanking them for calling might make the most sense.

For example, perhaps you noticed that a prospect downloaded an eBook from your company's website. You could mention this in your voicemail. Something along the lines of, "Hi John, this is Mike from Company XYZ. I noticed you downloaded our guide to working with influencers…"
3. 'It's a great day at ABC. This is XYZ, how can I... ' This is even less formal than saying good morning, being intentionally upbeat. It's a fun, surprising, and positive greeting, and it's hard for customers not to smile.

8. If you're a manager, when introducing members of your team, say, "We work together," rather than, "They work for me." "You'll get far more respect from your team and it shows that you're part of the team, not above it."

If you are alright with your prospects reaching out to you after work, then share your contact details will help them to reach out to you. This is not a mandatory technique, but if you believe that you can cater to prospects after your working hours then this technique is great to conduct.

Since a majority of your calls will go to voicemail, it’s essential to have more than one message to leave. If you repeat the same message over and over, it seems like you don’t care enough to put some effort into attracting the prospect. It doesn’t need to be significantly different than you first message, but it should be different enough to be noticeable and so it doesn’t just sound like boilerplate language.
