Sometimes a little humor is the perfect tactic to break through a prospect's defenses and get them to call you back. This script adapted from Michael Freer will make your leads chuckle and be much more inclined to respond.

The first two are voicemails for prospects you haven’t spoken with yet, the next one is for when you’re calling a prospect or client back, and the last example is for when your prospect or client isn’t calling you back at all:
Your phone number is the last thing you should say on a voicemail. Say it once, slowly, and make sure to repeat it again. This has two benefits: First, it makes your phone number the last thing they hear, which encourages an immediate callback.
3. Offer Clear Next Steps. For many small businesses, the announcement will send the caller straight to a voicemail box. But larger organizations may decide to direct callers to a phone menu or forward the call to an external destination, depending on the situation.
Always leave a message. If you can inquire as to an email address for your adjuster, I would suggest sending an email. Don’t leave vague messages; leave your name, your claim number, telephone number and the best time to call you back. Be specific as to why you are calling. Follow with an email.
Hello, you have reached the dental office of Dr. X. We are busy assisting a patient now, but will call you back as soon as possible. Please leave your name, reason for calling, and your number. If this is an urgent enquiry, please call 911. In this case, the dentist is giving a reason for not being available and they’re providing a way to prioritize the patients who need the most help. They’re also leaving an emergency number for the most severe of situations.
