6. SMILE. Okay, this one isn't actually a phone greeting, but a smile will make every greeting better. People are programmed to mimic the mental and emotional states of those around us, and we can hear whether or not the person on the other end is smiling.
You are living in 2020 and you do realize that your prospects can come to you anytime, which means you need to be catering to them whenever that happens, at 3 am in the morning or even at 11 pm in the night.
Hello, you have reached X. I’m going to be out of the office until Y. Please leave your name and number so I can get back to you.
* Host conference calls without a meeting ID or passcode - callers call your virtual conference number and they're in.

The whole point of sales voicemails is to begin a conversation with prospects. If a prospect is unclear on how to reach you or can't decipher what you're saying, you can kiss that lead goodbye.

While it may seem like a small detail, setting up an after hours announcement can help you win and keep customers. By presenting a clear, welcoming message containing relevant information about your business, you are showing callers that you value their time.
