Now, for today’s lesson, I want to answer three questions about voicemail in English. Here’s what you’re going to learn: Basic rules to follow for voicemail. What you should and shouldn’t say when you leave a voicemail with some examples. What you should include in your own voice message for those moments when you can’t get to your phone.
Grasshopper is a VoIP service, which means that they offer, aside from voicemail greetings, general phone services and such. When it comes to voicemail greetings in particular, Grasshopper allows you to either have actors read your script for you, or for you to make and edit your own recordings in their Voice Studio.

Don’t include the date unless it’s completely necessary. 16 of the messages I heard last month had the wrong date—one of the messages had a date over 2 months old!
