2. Quickly Provide the Relevant Information. When someone reaches your voicemail, it’s important that you help them confirm that they have reached the right person by providing all of the relevant information that they will need.
Hi. You have reached [Business Name]. Our offices are currently closed for the holiday season. We shall return on January 2, 2020, working office hours from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday. Until then, please leave a short message and number, or email address, and we’ll get back to you shortly. Thank you for calling.
You've reached New Age Construction. We are currently closed from December 25th to January 2nd for the holiday season. To speak to an on-call construction worker, press 1...
the following fixed system message in both the primary and alternate languages if Bilingual operation is enabled and the caller has not chosen a language: "I'm sorry, the person you are calling is currently on the phone" followed by the mailbox owner's personal greeting, then the fixed system prompt, "Begin speaking after the tone, then hang-up when you are finished or press any key for further options.
7. “Hi, you’ve reached [your name] at [your company]. Sorry I missed your call. I’m especially busy today, but if you leave me your name, phone number, and a brief message, I’ll get back to you within the day. Chat soon!” Your callers want to hear from you soon. Calling back within the business day lets them know you’re reliable despite how busy you are.

Remember, your prospects (and you too, if you're honest) care mainly about themselves. In other words, your sales voicemails will be much more successful if the benefit to the prospect is clearly stated.
If you drone on and on, there is a good chance that some of your callers are going to hang up before leaving their message.
The biggest barrier is actually getting them to leave the voicemail in the first place. Don’t get in your own way by recording a long, drawn-out voicemail greeting that might do more to convince them to hang up than actually leave a message.

If anything big changes- address, phone, etc.- make sure you correct your voicemail early on. Keep It Short; We know, we know. We just gave you all this information and we’re now telling you to ‘keep it short‘. But, a professional voicemail greeting (or any for that matter) shouldn’t go beyond 20-25 seconds.
