For an average IVR phone system where customers are on hold for 1-3 minutes, it’s wise to have at least two courtesy messages and two marketing messages, with each message timing out to precisely 30 seconds (:30). Power is on, the USB will play on computer, tried to use a different USB with the machine still woulnt work. This device replaced my 5-CD changer to provide background music for a business phone system. This is a lot less expensive than another CD changer, a lot smaller, and it allows us to hear the song being played (with its small internal speaker.) the volume control allows us to set the volume that caller will hear. Whether it’s music, marketing messages, or a combination of both, the recording should be long enough so it doesn’t loop back to where they started when they were first put on hold. If you don’t typically have long wait times, this should be no problem.
