This is the BIGGEST FLAW / WEAKNESSS of weave. Please add a multicast loop option that can play our message on hold file continuously and drop patients in as they call. Otherwise people hear the same thing over and over. This is a perfect way to help introduce patients to the office and market our services while patients are on hold.

5.0 out of 5 stars much cheaper option than professional on-hold service I used to use a professional on-hold service which would charge me about $500 every time I wanted to change my on hold message. This product works exactly as it states. I did not use the software that came with it, but with a few online searches it was easy to figure out how to convert a voice memo on my iphone to a compatible file, and background music is easy to find online too. So I read from a script I wrote with background music playing and made a voice memo on my iphone, converted it to the appropriate music file with free online software, and dragged and dropped the file into the usb drive they provided. Very low tech but the end result is excellent and I can change it up as often as I want. Very pleased with the purchase. I have an older phone system that came with my business when I started renting. There was a male adapter plug that was plugged into a CD player, but if the CD player was not running, I got no sound for "on hold". Sometimes I would remember to turn on the CD and put it on repeat, but...somethimes it would be turned off for months (the system is in an enclosed stairwell that is hard to get to).
Tone - select the right tone for your business brand. If your target market are young millennials, then the script would most likely include some slang words, be quite laid back and the script would be recorded in an energetic tone. If you primarily service the business market, then the script would be more articulate and recorded with a more professional tone. Music – during voice over messages, the music will be slightly raised in volume. It is important to select a piece of music that compliments your brand.
After the “message before answering”, the waiting announcement is immediately cut. Hold messages scripts are very powerful for you to keep your callers interested and reduce the tendency of drop calls. Here are some additional samples of hold messages scripts you can use for your business: General Business - On Hold Example
5. TO SOUND UP-TO-DATE. Adding seasonal, holiday, or other temporary messages such a facility closures or construction notification to Message-On-Hold features helps make your business communicative, attentive, and that ever important quality of being “personable”.
Most typical on hold scripts include: “Thank you for your patience” and “Your call is important to us”.
1. Start with a warm greeting. It’s only polite to say “Hello”. However, don’t forget to ask the caller to stay on the line and wait.
If it is a genre, hold music, it's fair to say, is a troubled one with few hits. It's not really meant to be loved or even listened to — it's meant to communicate something specific: Don't hang up. (Cornell makes this plea specifically at the end of his song.) Silence is believed to be a death knell for phone calls — people will simply think the line is dead and hang up. This is true even on non-hold calls; it's why phone companies transmit something called a "comfort tone" over phone lines, a barely audible synthetic noise that signals a connection is still there.
Phone call analytics are certainly not something that came with the original 1960s technology. However, it has become one of the most useful aspects of on hold messages today. Now, you can track and view how calls went through an online portal connected to your messaging service. This will allow you to see when callers hung up on toll free numbers, who chose to purchase something due to the messages and more. If you want a new way to keep track of your business calls, the analytics services that come with on hold messages could be a big help.
Mixes of Mozart and Beethoven’s classic symphonies are a great way to keep customers engaged as they wait to get on hold.
Often, it’s a good idea to precede the message with a bright alert sound effect to grab snoozing customer attention:
Have you ever judged a company based on how poor their phone messages were? We have. Avoid giving your existing or potential customers negative arguments about the quality of your service or brand image.
“Call center operators who picked up the phone reported feeling less emotionally exhausted when dealing with customers who heard standard pop music.” –Time, “Why Music on Hold Drives You Crazy”
So, you’ve called in to a customer service line looking for help regarding a product or service you’ve purchased. Your hope is that your questions will be answered and your issues resolved quickly, and by a person who is capable and amiable.
That’s a big piece of a trillion dollar pie! The good news is, you don’t have to let all these callers off the hook. Studies show that with creative, professional sounding on hold messages your business will retain customers holding on the line (in fact callers will wait up to 3 times longer than silence or music), but you can also generate revenue by marketing additional products and services.
