We've just received our recordings from Messages On Hold and couldn't be happier with the whole process! They were incredibly helpful with the scripting and really quick with their responses. It was great to be able to listen to the voice and on hold music options to pick the most suitable to our business. Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries NSW

Not quite the desired effect, I think you’ll agree. It might be funny if you and I didn’t have to endure it time and time again.
The problem, in my mind, is that every single one of these articles misses the point completely. Even if you implemented a call centre system that detected and automatically played someone’s all-time favourite music while they waited, a facility which is possibly not that far off, most music when played down the phone just sounds terrible. Butchering a song that someone actually likes is unlikely to improve the waiting experience.
Yes, a new On Hold Messaging program would surely make you the envy of the neighborhood, but before you start bragging about your on hold messaging prematurely, make sure you have a telephone system with a working Music On Hold (MOH) interface.. "Congratulations on Best of Show! I was in charge of the [Fifth District ADDY Awards] judging and was there when we played your On Hold Messaging. Very creative. I remember the judges commenting that it was a great use of an underutilized medium. Funny (and effective) stuff. The music in our on hold music section is pre-licensed, which means we can mix it with your on-hold messages without charging an additional music license. Also, this smaller selection of music is not in a PRO such as ASCAP, BMI, PRS etc. so you won't have to pay these agencies a fee for playing music on hold. You can use music from our library if you wish but there will be an additional license cost and not all of it is PRO free.
