When callers are put on hold, music is played over the phone while they are waiting. You can upload your own music file to play, or several music files to rotate. If you do not upload your own files, callers will hear the music that is set by default. - Supported audio formats include: .WAV, .MP3 and .OGG; file size should not exceed 16 MB.
Call hold/call wait is a network feature (while it is activated by the handset) as such any music would be supplied by your carrier, there should be some there but chances are it's some wonderfull elevator style stuff (I'm partial to Brahms myself 😉 ). Easy On Hold Founder Tim Brown says that the new scheduling mechanism is what makes the Easy On Hold streaming message unique. "The traditional four-minute on-hold loop, where several paragraphs are edited over one piece of music, is an outdated approach," he says. "Our service puts together a library of individual spots that can be told when to play and how often. You can schedule start and stop dates, too, so old content is never heard."
OUR SOLUTION: We bought a IBOOST 800 audio amplifier. With the volume turned all the way up on both devices, customers calling in on cell phones can now hear voice messages and music much clearer.

Someday somebody’s gonna put you on hold and make you cry… Cheer up, you’ll only have to hold on for one more day.
If it is a genre, hold music, it's fair to say, is a troubled one with few hits. It's not really meant to be loved or even listened to — it's meant to communicate something specific: Don't hang up. (Cornell makes this plea specifically at the end of his song.) Silence is believed to be a death knell for phone calls — people will simply think the line is dead and hang up. This is true even on non-hold calls; it's why phone companies transmit something called a "comfort tone" over phone lines, a barely audible synthetic noise that signals a connection is still there.
