Our team will make on hold messages for your business that will direct callers to what they need, and work as a sales representative. "Congratulations on Best of Show! I was in charge of the [Fifth District ADDY Awards] judging and was there when we played your On Hold Messaging. Very creative. I remember the judges commenting that it was a great use of an underutilized medium. Funny (and effective) stuff. Also goes to show that you don't need to go to the big city to get great creative work." - John McCafferty / McCafferty and Company Advertising
A typical Message on Hold program is 4 minutes long. Because a voice over talent typically reads between 100 and 112 words per minute, the script for a four-minute program can be up to 400 words, allowing for four to six paragraphs or messages, interspersed by brief intervals of music. Longer audio storage and program lengths are available if necessary.

To write a comedy script well, you need to be open with yourself and your audience. Write about your flaws as a company, and present them in a humorous light. The easiest way to start is to write about forcing people to stay on hold and joke about it.
Voice Prompts – usually combined with a Business Intro announcement, used for Auto Attendant and IVR prompts to provide menu options and assist in telephone navigation.
Often, it’s a good idea to precede the message with a bright alert sound effect to grab snoozing customer attention:
Welcome to Business 1300 where our mission is to make your business even more outstanding. Please hold the line and one of our representatives will be with you shortly.
The first step is to realize that writing a script isn’t like writing an article or any other kind of copy. Most kinds of writing are meant to be silently read by a single person. Yet, writing scripts is different because it’s meant to be read out loud by a specific person.
In order to get started with custom on hold messages, you will need to determine your phones MOH (Messages On Hold) capability. If you’re using a traditional pbx business phone system, you’ll need an on hold media unit to play the audio. If you’re using an ipbx or hosted voip set-up then all you need to do is upload the audio file as no media device is required. And, if your a small/home office business using a traditional off-the-shelf 2-4 line telephone then you’ll need the media device and an on hold module adaptor in order to make your standard analog phones on hold message compatible.
A lot of on-hold music is just wrong for the phone. It’s too pitchy, the tempo’s all wrong and half the time it’s too loud. If your callers can barely keep the phone up to their ear, they’re not going to stay on the line for very long. This is why we offer a collection of royalty-free music channels with every account, ensuring that you
