Currently the on hold music starts from the beginning every time. Our on hold file has office information, bios of our doctors, as well as dental tips and services we provide. Since the on hold plays from the beginning every time someone is placed on hold, they end up hearing the same thing every time. We would LOVE the ability to choose for our on hold audio to loop. And when someone is placed on hold they just start listening to where the audio recording is currently on. So they get to hear different parts. Regrettably for my purpose, the software requires that you add a "message on hold", which makes perfect sense for this devices intended purpose, if not for my own use. But I worked around the problem by recording a second of silence and then adjusted the software the effectively play only my cheesy elevator music.
