The organization I work for has used these services since I’ve been with the company. I took over a couple years ago and have always had a great experience with them. We recently used Messages On Hold for our new telephone system and they were professional and super helpful. Very easy process and a pleasure to deal with. Voice overs came back professional, great sound quality and exactly what we requested. Highly recommend their services. 11 months ago
In 1962, inventor and entrepreneur Alfred Levy found a loose wire touching a metal girder at his factory. It amplified the broadcast signal from the radio station next door and transmitted the audio through the loose wire to calls on hold. Four years later he patented his work, and music on hold was born.

Whether it’s music, marketing messages, or a combination of both, the recording should be long enough so it doesn’t loop back to where they started when they were first put on hold. If you don’t typically have long wait times, this should be no problem. If calls get stacked up sometimes, you’ll want to make sure that the recording is at least as long as your typical wait time on a busy day.

The Business Audio Music On-Hold System (GDI-USBM10) is an on-hold audio player for use with any telephone system such as PBX's, IPBX's or Key Phone systems. The music on hold player is designed for ease of use. Simply plug the Grace Music and Messaging on Hold Player into your telephone systems' audio input jack (typically marked as ‘music on hold') via the included audio cable then insert the included USB thumb drive and the fully licensed music for businesses will automatically start playing.
The problem, in my mind, is that every single one of these articles misses the point completely. Even if you implemented a call centre system that detected and automatically played someone’s all-time favourite music while they waited, a facility which is possibly not that far off, most music when played down the phone just sounds terrible. Butchering a song that someone actually likes is unlikely to improve the waiting experience.
