Most businesses aim to answer the telephone within 3 rings but we know that isn't always possible. The research showed that a typical business using on hold marketing had 100 calls a day with an average hold time of 30 seconds for 57% of callers. This translates to half an hour a day, every day, of messaging to on-hold customers. That's 3+ weeks a year!
When callers are put on hold, music is played over the phone while they are waiting. You can upload your own music file to play, or several music files to rotate. If you do not upload your own files, callers will hear the music that is set by default.

It would be helpful to be able to choose a greeting for the voicemail override on the online portal and the pc phone app instead of just on the mobile app. The doctor's cell phone is connected to weave, but we do not have office cell phones. The doctor wants the front office staff to be able to handle changing the office phones and greetings without having to ask to use his personal cell phone and he does not want to require the front office staff to connect their personal cell phones to Weave in order to choose a greeting for the Voicemail override. Solo guitar and piano music can also be decent choices provided you avoid songs with extremes of high and low volumes and pitch. Most phone systems come with default tracks that, coincidentally, fall squarely into these categories. If you’d like something a bit different then you can find plenty royalty-free tunes available to purchase online (they’re not all that terrible), but remember you'll need to pay for a PRS license if you want to make use of tracks by a recording artist.
