The music in our on hold music section is pre-licensed, which means we can mix it with your on-hold messages without charging an additional music license. Also, this smaller selection of music is not in a PRO such as ASCAP, BMI, PRS etc. so you won't have to pay these agencies a fee for playing music on hold. You can use music from our library if you wish but there will be an additional license cost and not all of it is PRO free.

"That self-awareness came from wanting to experiment with this genre of hold music, that I'm not even really sure is a thing," Cornell said.
Cornell's "I'm On Hold" follows some of the industry standards, particularly around frequencies and compression, which is one of the reasons he wrote it with a country-ish melody, wanting something simple but catchy, with only a single instrument and vocals. But in other ways, "I'm On Hold" totally upends the genre by breaking the cardinal rule — that hold music shouldn't call attention to itself.
Brian & the team have been looking after our telephone systems for a few years now. Always an excellent service. Very knowledgable and at hand, should any problems arise.
If you would like a pause in your message where just background music (or blank airtime) plays, place (...) in your script where you want the pause.
Regrettably for my purpose, the software requires that you add a "message on hold", which makes perfect sense for this devices intended purpose, if not for my own use. But I worked around the problem by recording a second of silence and then adjusted the software the effectively play only my cheesy elevator music.
