Need options to load multiple files to play messages or music on hold, with much larger limits. We like to have messages from different docs on different topics (different types of cleanings, why xrays are so important, etc) and mix and match (periodically change what is 1st). It's a pain to try to combine to one file PLUS the max file size doesn't accommodate them. Susan commented · November 27, 2019 9:51 AM · Flag as inappropriateFlag as inappropriate · Edit… · Delete…
Most business-class phone systems come with a library of pre-recorded on-hold messages or music for you to choose from. They also typically allow you to upload your own, giving you the opportunity to customize your callers’ experience while they wait.
For the average 4-minute on hold message, we recommend no more than 2 music tracks. Having too much variation in music can distract your audience. Longer programs can accommodate more music themes. To sample our music, please visit our production music library.
Unlike big expensive telephone systems, ordinary 2-line and 4-line aren’t music on hold ready. In layman terms, there’s no place to connect a message on hold player. The on hold adapter allows you to connect our message on hold media player, to easily add our custom music and messages on hold.
With on-hold, it’s not just about upselling other services, although that is important. You can use the time a customer is on hold to educate them more about your business and about your industry.
Our business phone app enables you to talk & text from your business number. You can even share a common work number with team members and create professional call menu options. Keep business calls, text messages, voicemail, & contacts separate from your personal stuff. Voicemail transcription empowers you to read voicemail on the go. Set business hours so you receive business calls only when you want to. Team members get their own extension and can use the app for free. Keep track of customer conversations with Client Notes. Add call menu options for a polished and professional call experience.
Depending on how large your business is, you may want more than one on hold messaging option. If you have several departments to take care of, you should consider the customizable extensions feature available through most systems. This feature allows you to craft specific messages for various phone extensions throughout your organization. If you need to provide different information to different callers, this is the best way to do it.
Tell us what you need help with, the purpose of your project and the problems we're solving. Also mention any deadlines you may have.
Don’t allow their holding time to be a waste of time for them or for you as a business.

For those still using analogue or digital phone systems, voice on ISDN circuits has a bandwidth of around 4000Hz. The audio from an analogue phone is sampled at 8000Hz, and because of the nyquist theorem, must be low-pass filtered to 4000Hz. So any frequencies in the audio beyond 4000Hz are lost. Interestingly, the human ear and mind are good at recognising human speech, so this is considered "toll-quality" voice, i.e. good enough to pay for. This is the reason why certain vocalised letters are difficult or impossible to tell apart on the phone. For example, the differences between B, P, T, C, etc. are almost entirely above 4000Hz.
