We began as a message on-hold company with one employee: our founder, Katie, over 25 years ago. Over the years, we’ve grown to become the industry standard. Hold music is one of those subjects that unites people from all walks of life. No matter where you’re from or what your background is, the prospect of five minutes listening to poorly chosen music while your telephone gradually makes a painful imprint on the side of your head fills everyone with a justifiable sense of dread.

The way we approach musical genres today is much more fluid, from both the musician and the listener’s perspectives. Thanks to the age of MP3 players and streaming services, we can group music by other metrics than language and style or what’s popular in our specific region.
