We have been using a professional on hold service for many years at about $60/month. The box that the professional company gave us sounded great when customers would call from a Lan Line. 2 days after ordering my Grace Message Player, it came from Amazon in perfect condition (I got prime yo!). I plugged the power cord in, and plugged the male thingy into the Grace thingy, and bam, we have had on hold music ever since. So I read from a script I wrote with background music playing and made a voice memo on my iphone, converted it to the appropriate music file with free online software, and dragged and dropped the file into the usb drive they provided. I have an older phone system that came with my business when I started renting. There was a male adapter plug that was plugged into a CD player, but if the CD player was not running, I got no sound for "on hold".
