I hope it never happens. I prefer silence while on hold since I may be listening to music on my end or talking to someone in the room or I may just not like your taste in hold music. Aren’t these on hold messages a lot better than being left in silence or just listening to the radio? Rather than being frustrated about waiting you’re being told exactly what you need to know. This saves both the caller and the business time all while increasing the likelihood of a successful deal.
Of course you’ll wait. You don’t have a choice. While you are waiting, take the opportunity to wrap your phone in strips of masking tape to give it the look of Eddie Van Halen’s famous “Frankenstrat” guitar.
I haven't used this device for an extended period, but since there are no mechanical parts, I expect that it will last. We have been using a professional on hold service for many years at about $60/month. The box that the professional company gave us sounded great when customers would call from a Lan Line. But, when calling from cell phone the voice messages were lower volume and the music would sound horrible. Music keeps cutting in and out and sounds very staticky. So we decided to save some $ and cancel our subscription and buy this unit. We are using the default music and voice messages that came preloaded instead of doing our own music and messages.
Our on hold services focus on making sure you make the most out of every marketing dollar.

Some common suggestions include “Hanging On The Telephone” by Blondie, or Lionel Richie’s “Hello, is it me you’re looking for?”. Or how about looking up the customer’s record in your call centre CRM, grabbing their date of birth, and playing something based on their age range - pop for the under 25s and presumably something fusty for the oldies?

They didn't have the headset I ordered in stock (despite saying it was available) - They contacted me, apologised profusely and gave me an upgrade for the same price! I wish all companies behaved the same and gave as good customer service. Happy customer and will return! A+
