17. "Hello! You've gotten the voicemail of [your name]. Leave your name, contact info, and the answer to the eternal question ‘Which came first, the chicken or the egg?' Anyone who gets it right will receive a call back."
Businesses should have two main types of greetings to create an excellent call experience. The first one is what we call a “welcome greeting” – this greeting welcomes callers to your business. Typically, a welcome greeting will present a menu of call options like hours, location, or customer service. For more details on how to create a welcome greeting for your general business number, read this article.

6.) Don’t miss the opportunity to leave a specific message. There’s nothing more frustrating than listening to a voicemail that basically says, “Hi, it’s me. Call when you can!” Even if you’re just calling to say hi, make that your phone message. “Hi, Barbara! It’s Maralee! I haven’t heard your voice in too long, and I wanted to touch base and say hi. I’ll give you a call tonight at 8:00 your time. I hope we can chat then. Stay warm in Michigan. I heard about the storms.”
4. Request to have your voicemail service disabled. Once the representative or automated message confirms this has been done, you can hang up.
Logging in after leaving a message: After you get the greeting for another user's voice mailbox, you can press #R to log into your voice mailbox. Press *R immediately or leave a message and then press *R. This feature is useful for long distance or pay calls because you can leave and get messages with one phone call.
As I mentioned earlier, this won’t be the last voicemail you leave so get creative with future messages. The next day you could leave a voicemail similar to the following:
Tap the voicemail icon in the magicApp navigation bar to setup, customize and listen to your voicemails. Can I change the voicemail or caller id time stamp?
2. Open the dial pad. Tap the dial pad icon near the bottom of the screen to bring up your phone's dial pad.

Hello! This is [Nick on the West Coast Sales Team at LinkedPhone]. I am currently on vacation until [Friday, April 22nd] with limited access to email. If you require urgent assistance, please contact my lieutenant [Harold Kisp at 415-555-1212 or [email protected]]. Have you noticed how I slowed down towards the end of the message? I spoke slower and clearer. This is because when the person on the other line hears your message, they will be writing down your details before calling you back. Let’s make it easy for them to call you back!
First of all, I want to say great work on using the phrasal verb “to pick up!” Native English speakers love phrasal verbs and we use them often. In this example, to pick up the phone means to answer the phone.
If you get stage fright at the thought of making a sales call and leaving a voicemail, preparation can go a long way. Knowing what you’re going to say before you dial – and even running through the script a couple of times – can make you feel more in control. If you want to know exactly how you’ll sound and where improvements have to be made, leave yourself the voicemail and listen to it back. You can also use a breathing exercise to help yourself relax and keep your voice steady.
You'll receive a text message with passcode attached. Enter that passcode on the Text messaging setup screen and click Finish.
9. "Hey, this is [your name]. Thanks for reaching out. I'm busy at the moment, but if you leave your name, number, and message, I'll return your call.”
