With Visual Voicemail, you can see a list of your messages and choose which ones to listen to or delete. Learn how to set up and transfer your existing voicemail. Create a voicemail password, then tap Done. Enter your password again to confirm it, then tap Done. Select Custom or Default. If you choose Custom, you can record a new greeting. Go to the Phone app, then tap the Voicemail tab. Tap Set Up Now. Enter your password,* then tap done. Record a custom greeting or use the default greeting, then tap Save.
You can choose where you would like to store your voicemail and fax messagesâin the Calling User Portal or to a specified email address as a .tiff file. 1
Most people donât know this, but voicemail systems have the functionality to listen to and rerecord your voicemail if you are unsatisfied. Usually, this can be accessed by pressing # or 1 to return to the voicemail menu. From there you will hear the prompts to listen or rerecord your voicemail.
Sticking with our "Andy Applicant" example, if Andy had left Hannah Hiring Manager a voicemail of, âItâs me and I would like to talk to you.â She will not know who Andy is nor what Andy wants to talk about. Effectively she will be answering Andyâs questions on the spot the whole time after she figures out how to get in touch with him. What if she forgets to mention something?

On the Phone tab, click the voicemail icon below the dial pad, and then click Change Greetings. Skype for Business calls your voicemail and guides you to record a personal greeting.
You donât have to have fancy words or a whole new voicemail message for the 2nd attempt.
"When closing your voicemail, say that if you do not hear from them in three days, you promise to call back. Three days later, start your voicemail (or live call if you reach the person)Â with, 'As promised, I am calling again to share...' Close with, 'If you haven't had a chance to return my call, I promise to call back in two days.' Two days later, call back and open with, 'As promised, I am calling back...' The message you are sending is that you keep your promises!"
