Record Your Name: You can replace the system greeting for your voice mailbox with your own name. Callers will hear your voice instead of AUDIX and feel more comfortable about leaving messages. If the system asks you to record your name as you log in, you must press 1 and begin at step 2 in the instructions below. You can record your name at any time after logging in by following the entire procedure, beginning at step 1.

Call your iPhone from another phone and try to leave yourself a voicemail. Go to the keypad and press and hold the number 1, or press the Call Voicemail button. This dials voicemail. 2. If the trashcan icon is not available, from the top right-hand corner, click on the three-dotted menu, then select “Edit.”
4. "Hello, you've reached [your name and title]. I'm currently out on parental leave until [date]. In the meantime, please direct all phone calls to [alternate contact name] at [phone number] and emails to [email address]. Thanks, and I'll see you in [month you'll be back in the office]."
Each voicemail will be sent to your registered email address in .wav file format.
Additionally, you will want to close out your voicemail by (re)stating your contact information and name and purpose of your call. This is another little trick of leaving voicemails - people tend to remember the first and last things you say more so than the middle, so by summarizing the important pieces of your message at the end, what you said is more likely to stick.

1. Towards the top of the screen, select the trashcan icon. A checkbox towards the right of each voicemail message in the list will appear.
“Hi _________, this is _______ ________ again with (your company). For some reason we haven’t been able to connect since I sent you (your demo, proposal, etc.), and believe me, I’ve been sales long enough to know what that probably means. I’m assuming you’ve either found another solution or this has been put on the back burner for now. Either way, that’s fine.
This is a tactic we picked up from Jeff Hoffman and it works because it makes you more memorable and makes your messages seem genuine and less rehearsed. Give it a try and see if it will work for you too!
