If you leave a message, here is a collection of techniques that have gotten calls returned: First name and number only (in a very businesslike manner). It seems that calls are returned in inverse proportion to the amount of information left. Be funny Clean wit will get response. Be indirect “I was going to mail you important information, and I wanted to confirm your address.” Offer fun “I had two extra tickets to the Knights game and I thought you might be interested. (here’s the sure shot) Please call me if you can’t go so I’m able to give the tickets to someone else.” If it was positive first meeting, remind the prospect where you met. Dangle the carrot. Leave just enough information to entice. Ask a provocative or thought provoking question.
“Hey [Prospect's Name], this is [Your Name] from [Your Company Name]. I have a question for you. Please call me back at [insert phone number].”

The difference between a cold voicemail and a warm voicemail is research. Research creates a distinction compelling a prospect to return your call over the countless others in their voice mailbox.

To delete your name recording, unavailable greeting, or temporary greeting: Dial *98 on your OnSIP-registered phone. Enter your voicemail box number. Enter the PIN/password for your voicemail box. A sales voicemail can only get so far if its content is too passive and your delivery is unsure or mousy. Remember, people want to buy from someone who knows what they're doing. If you give them too much of a "ball is in your court; feel free to get back to me or don't" feeling, they'll have a hard time trusting your expertise and dedication.
We use our phones for everything: looking up directions, surfing the internet, texting, and even the lesser-known function of making actual phone calls. Even though in our personal lives, true phone calls are going by the wayside, they are still a huge part of how we communicate in the workplace, and along with phone calls, so too, are workplace voicemails.
I like to use a “three strikes and you’re out” rule. Meaning, after the 3rd attempt, if I haven’t heard back from them, I take them out of my current call list (I move them back into my drip marketing campaign and let that do its job)
Most importantly, have fun with it. If you don’t enjoy leaving a voicemail, you might not be in the right job. Voicemails can add value, whether or not a prospect calls you back right away. Even if it triggers an email response or call-back six months down the line, it’s valuable. The better your voicemails, the more likely you’ll get a response.
