Let’s imagine you call a property agent, you don’t expect you get a Voicemail message. You expect them to answer the phone. In this case the Voicemail starts to play.
Repeat your phone number twice. People seem to forget that the receiver of their message has to write the number as you say it. Don’t rush through it. Even when you say it slowly, it’s hard to get down the first time. So repeat it again, so they can check to be sure they got it down right.
Instead, close out by saying something to the effect of, “I look forward to speaking with you soon”, or even “Call me at your earliest convenience.” Even though all these examples communicate the same thing, they take different approaches to the call back request, and little things like wording make all the difference.
