It is no surprise that your actual voice mail greeting must be delivered in the same way: Professional, clear, brief, and to the point. There are many similarities between leaving a voice mail, and producing a voice mail greeting. You want your callers and receivers to hear a confident and professional person on the other end delivering a coherent message. You should introduce yourself to a prospective client in a personal way. An email doesn't generate much discussion, nor does it necessarily show you went the extra mile in contacting the client. Generating conversation. A professional, well conveyed voice message shows the voice mail receiver that you are confident and well-spoken, and that there is a person behind the message. Resist the temptation of calling people or leaving voicemails when you are too tipsy! The same applies when you are too angry or upset to speak without using hostile language or an accusatory tone. Prepare and leave your voicemails when you are in the right mindset so that you don’t need to search for ways to delete your message or re-record it!

While many businesses can use this standard voicemail greeting, not everyone’s business wants to be the same as the others. If you’re looking for a more unique approach, here are four sample voicemail scripts to try:
And that's the reason that most people leave garbled and rushed messages, because they take about two seconds to adjust to the fact that they've got through to an answering service and then with Mary Mitchell's message they have maybe a second or two to compose a short and concise message... which just isn't enough time for most people.
4. Reset your pin. Maybe you have forgotten your pin or passcode or you never set it up in the first place. This is a common issue. Most carriers have detailed instructions for changing passcodes. For example, to change a T-Mobile passcode, hold down the "1" key, then press the star key, and then press number 5 to go into passcode security. Why not shorter than 20 seconds? The voicemail indicator will tell the contact how long the message is, and if it’s just 5 or 10 seconds, it may seem like a spam call or a wrong number, which means they won’t listen to it at all. For example, when leaving a voicemail you could say, "You can give me a call back at XYZ-1234. I am typically available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. I look forward to hearing from you." This lets your contact know exactly when they can reach you to continue the conversation.
In Australian English it’s pronounced with the vowel /a:/ like in ‘part’. Problems arise when people use the /ʌ/ vowel (like in ‘up’) instead of /æ/ or /a:/. If you do this is will sound like the worst swear word in English. Many non-native speakers often pronounce the vowel /æ/ more like /ʌ/ because they don’t have a vowel like /æ/ in their first language. Many speakers of European languages will do this (Spanish speakers and Italian speakers) and also speakers of Japanese and Korean. This problem with /æ/ also means that if you say the word ‘back’ in your voicemail greeting sample, you are likely to pronounce it more like ‘buck’. remember to pronounce word endings in English. Check you aren’t dropping any endings off or mispronouncing them.
