A good first impression goes a long way, and a voicemail greeting is the first impression to your business. An expertly crafted voicemail script lets your clients know youâre dependable, capable, and confident. An unprofessional voicemail script, on the other hand, can do the exact opposite.
Standard greeting with phone number: "At the tone, please record your message to [phone number]."
Obviously, prospects aren't going to listen to an overly long voicemail from a caller whose number they don't recognize, so pushing past 30 seconds ensures the message will get deleted almost immediately. On the other hand, buyers are also unlikely to listen to an overly short message.
Note: a desk phones' voicemail greeting can only be recorded via phone, there is no way to upload or download a greeting through the online panel.
Iâm out walking my donkey but as soon as I get my ass back in Iâll call you back. Leave me a message.

Recording the message yourself doesnât mean it canât be done professionally. You can still get studio time with an experienced audio engineer. Studio time can cost $60-$100 per hour, which may or may not come with an engineer. If you need to hire one, their rates are usually $100-$300 an hour. Mind you, their feedback, professional experience, and editing capabilities are typically well worth the extra expense.

When done, hang up or press the pound key.â Dial *98 on your OnSIP-registered phone. Enter your voicemail box number. Enter the PIN/password for your voicemail box. Press 0 for voicemail box options. Press 2 to record your name. Default Unavailable Greeting
In Australian English itâs pronounced with the vowel /a:/ like in âpartâ. Problems arise when people use the /Ę/ vowel (like in âupâ) instead of /ĂŚ/ or /a:/. If you do this is will sound like the worst swear word in English. Many non-native speakers often pronounce the vowel /ĂŚ/ more like /Ę/ because they donât have a vowel like /ĂŚ/ in their first language. Many speakers of European languages will do this (Spanish speakers and Italian speakers) and also speakers of Japanese and Korean. This problem with /ĂŚ/ also means that if you say the word âbackâ in your voicemail greeting sample, you are likely to pronounce it more like âbuckâ. remember to pronounce word endings in English. Check you arenât dropping any endings off or mispronouncing them.
