When calling a lead that was generated from a 3rd party vendor, it’s important to let them know how you received their contact information and why you’re calling. This type of lead may have looked at dozens of homes and requested information from as many real estate agents, all in a matter of minutes. The quicker you respond to this type of a lead, the more likely you’ll beat out the competition. Start off on the right foot by putting them at ease with a quick introduction and some facts:

It might be a straightforward approach, but it's not effective in the slightest. As soon as the prospect realizes this voicemail is a sales pitch from a salesperson, it's getting deleted. And if you lead with your name and company, the prospect's finger hits the delete key almost immediately.

Arguably the most intimidating factor when leaving a voice mail is the fact that once you leave the message, "in one take," there is no taking it back. That is why, especially in the business world, an overwhelming amount of people revert to email rather than leaving a voice mail message. Especially in a technologically advanced world, email or text messages are now used as a primary form of communication. Although there is a good argument behind opting for the written word over the spoken one, an email can lack the human touch, the emotion and enthusiasm in a voice, that can often times generate a better response. In fact, there is no impact that compares to delivering a clear, concise, professional message through your own unique human voice.
Before you make any calls, start with setting a goal. Will you be working on your tone? Your passion? The length of the message?
This is a direct and persuasive way of asking for a follow-up meeting. Your prospect is more likely to agree to discuss their pain points further than if you were to say, "I'd love to talk more about how I can help. Let me know when we can get a call scheduled." The latter is vague and feels like more of a burden than the first request.
