What you do not want to do is say your phone number so quickly that the person has to listen to your voicemail multiple times to try and figure out your phone number. For example: “Hi this is Anna Smith. I am a local loan officer who wants to help you accomplish your financial goals, like living in your dream home. I would love to talk to you about your goals, and see how I can help you throughout the process. Give me a call today at XXX-XXX-XXXX.”
Assuming you have a strong 1st attempt voicemail message, when on your 2nd attempt should you get voicemail again, simply lead with:
I assume it’s safe to say you’ve gotten really busy or this isn’t a top priority for you at the moment so I’ll take you off of my call list as to no longer interrupt your day.
This is a direct and persuasive way of asking for a follow-up meeting. Your prospect is more likely to agree to discuss their pain points further than if you were to say, "I'd love to talk more about how I can help. Let me know when we can get a call scheduled." The latter is vague and feels like more of a burden than the first request.
However, it’s awkward to just jump in without any context, so a very quick introduction followed by your question is the best option: Hi Erica, this is Ryan at Company X.
Once you have found the delete or re-record option, choose one. You can either delete your message completely or record a new message. Be sure to properly word your voicemail this time so that you don’t have to repent later on!

A compelling sales voicemail won't be particularly effective if your prospect has no idea how they should respond. You can't just rattle off what they stand to gain from leveraging your product or service and then hang up. Always offer some next steps or insight on what they should expect next — like another phone call or a follow-up email.

A good voicemail should be more about the prospect than the salesperson. Especially when cold calling, you want to provide as much value as possible to incentivize your prospect to return your call.
