If you have voicemails saved on a non-smart phone, your best bet is to record them on a computer. This is a method that requires some equipment, but not as much as you might think.

Voicemails Forever is like an answer to a prayer! I have saved these voice messages from my daughter since 2008. Glad to know that now I can have them stored safely. Pamela T Drake
Leaving an impression with your voicemail message is just one way to communicate to your caller when you are not there. Here are some great and creative voicemail message samples you can look at incorporating as your greeting. [Your name's] voicemail is broken. This is his refrigerator. Please speak very slowly, and I'll stick your message to myself with one of these magnets.
If something changes and you would like to discuss how we (HOT BUTTON / WHATS IN IT FOR THEM) please give me a call at 888-888-8888. Again it’s (YOUR NAME) with (YOUR COMPANY) at 888-888-8888. Have a great day.”
This is a direct and persuasive way of asking for a follow-up meeting. Your prospect is more likely to agree to discuss their pain points further than if you were to say, "I'd love to talk more about how I can help. Let me know when we can get a call scheduled." The latter is vague and feels like more of a burden than the first request.
To end the voicemail, state (or restate) your main question, then say your phone number. You can also say you’ll follow-up with an email. Now, this isn’t the same as saying, “If I don’t hear from you, you’ll hear from me!” Instead, it’s giving them another way to contact you, one they may be more comfortable with. They should still feel a responsibility to respond to your question, but now they have two options for how to get back in touch. (Then send that email, of course.)
The first two are voicemails for prospects you haven’t spoken with yet, the next one is for when you’re calling a prospect or client back, and the last example is for when your prospect or client isn’t calling you back at all:
While missed calls aren’t ideal, you can let your caller know you’re still there for them by having a great voicemail greeting. The best business voicemail greetings let your customers (and potential customers) know why you’re not available and how they can best get in contact with your business. They are also short and to the point. You usually want to keep your greeting between 6 and 24 seconds long so callers don’t hang up halfway through.
Leaving voice mail messages is a waste of time because most people rarely return phone calls anymore from salespeople. If you leave enough voice mail messages, the prospect may delete them before having a chance to listen to your entire pitch. I have a confession to make: I haven't recorded a new voicemail greeting in nearly a decade. Since then, I've (hopefully) become more articulate, poised, and self-assured. But hear my voicemail recording, and you'd think I was still new to the work world, a little unsure of myself — and probably not an authority.
“Hello ____. This is _____ again, calling from ______. I ran across some information on a client who made dozens of offers on houses before someone finally accepted one of them. We learned a lot from the experienced and I successfully used the findings to help other homebuyers make bids that were accepted early in the house hunting process. I thought I would share it with you in hopes of saving you time and making it easier for you to purchase the home of your dreams. I’ll email you the information. Give me a call if you would like to review it together. Thank you.”
