Hi Han Solo, my name is Chewbacca. I am calling regarding the property you have for rent on Jones Street in Adelaide. My name again, it’s Chewbacca and my number is 8936563, that’s 8936563. Please call me back when you can. Thanks.
While both types of messages should be customized to a given buyer, voicemails should be ultra-specific. In an email, I might ask for a referral, an appointment, or feedback on a content asset they downloaded. These sorts of classic questions -- while still tailored to the buyer -- can be customized for reuse with another prospect, or another 100 prospects.

And it isn't like you're wasting their time with the longer message. This person called you, which means that they set aside, at minimum, about 5 minutes for their call and they were mentally prepared to spend at least a minute on polite "Hi Bob, how are you and the family?" chit-chat, so a message that is 10 seconds longer is NOT an imposition.
4.) Keep your voicemail message to two points. If you need to share more information, then say in your voicemail that you’re going to send the person an e-mail message with the rest of the details. “… I’m calling to share that we have finalized the … and lastly, that we know you’d like to meet at 9:00 AM as we discussed. However, is Tuesday or Wednesday better for your team’s schedule? ….”
People pay attention when their name is mentioned. After all, they’ve been conditioned to pay attention to their name their whole life.

8. "Hi there! As you know, I am out on maternity leave. I won't be checking my emails or listening to my phone messages while I am away. But please feel free to send or leave as many messages as you like." Here's a message for those coworkers that rarely read through notes in their entirety. Hopefully, they'll fill up your voicemail quickly!

When leaving a voicemail, hanging up sends it. Here’s how it works: after the beep, the automated system on the other end starts recording all input from your end into an audio file. That audio file is then registered as a new “voicemail” for the intended recipient.
Ayaya, your heart is racing, you’ve got a mini anxiety attack, short of breath and you are pacing around the house. Oh damn, I need to call that person again.
The cause may be down to the phone or the voicemail application. To clear the phone’s app data:
Voicemail #2: "Jerry, I forgot to leave my name and number. This is Sarah Griffin from Acme Corp. You can reach me at 884-867-5309. Thanks."
The trick is to stay on the line even if you’ve already recorded the message. Never make the mistake of hanging up, as you will never be able to save yourself! So what should you do?
