Your message should be specific, and you have to create a sense of urgency so the contact opts to get back in touch with you. Words and phrases to use include: Must; I must hear back by [day]… Need; we need to talk about… Should; we should discuss…
5. Voicemail Greetings For Vacation. As mentioned above, alerting callers that they won’t be getting an immediate call back is of upmost importance for an entity’s reputation and a caller’s satisfaction.
I always end voicemails with my phone number. The reasoning? First, it's his cue to wrap up. It keeps him from rambling and gives the prospect a clear call to action: Call him back.
It is as simple as that. Once you have left a message, document the call and the action that was taken in your client record. Keep the conversation going, and give prospects an easy way to return your call by shooting them a quick email once you hang up the phone. Salespeople are used to being on the phone all day -- but not all prospects are.

You can’t read it line-for-line, so it’s important to work out the kinks before you place your call, including: Your name Your reason for calling The benefit of calling you back Your contact information Your promise of a follow-up email
It's important to mention your follow-up plans in your sales voicemails. Sometimes just the knowledge that you'll call again is enough to entice a prospect to respond. Let them know that if you don't hear back from them, you'll follow up in a few days or next week.
