To end the voicemail, state (or restate) your main question, then say your phone number. You can also say you’ll follow-up with an email. Now, this isn’t the same as saying, “If I don’t hear from you, you’ll hear from me!” Instead, it’s giving them another way to contact you, one they may be more comfortable with. They should still feel a responsibility to respond to your question, but now they have two options for how to get back in touch. (Then send that email, of course.)

With Visual Voicemail, you can see a list of your messages and choose which ones to listen to or delete. Learn how to set up and transfer your existing voicemail. This is a direct and persuasive way of asking for a follow-up meeting. Your prospect is more likely to agree to discuss their pain points further than if you were to say, "I'd love to talk more about how I can help. Let me know when we can get a call scheduled." The tone of your voice when leaving sales voicemails is almost as important as the actual words you say. If you obviously sound like a salesman, your message will be deleted before it even ends. You want to speak in a tone of voice thats friendly, confident, and casual—not overly excited, nervous, or desperate-sounding.
To set up your voicemail, press #55 or *68 from your home phone or call the retrieval number you received with your welcome letter. Voice prompts will guide you through the rest of the steps.
Traditional voicemail services once offered this feature, but visual voicemail (with a visual interface that lets you access messages directly) has mostly eliminated that possibility.
