By default beginning April 2017, voicemail transcription is available for all Phone System in Microsoft 365 users. When you receive a voicemail, the message will be transcribed in the body of the voicemail email you receive in your mailbox. If you do not want to have transcription for your messages, ask your admin to disable it for you.

When you want to use your original greeting, delete your temporary greeting. To do this: Press the Message Key. Enter your password, followed by the # key. Press 0 for Mailbox Options. Press 4 to record your Temporary greeting. Press 2 to delete your Temporary Greeting. Hang up. Press the Message key. Enter your password, followed by the # key. Press 1 to listen to new messages. Follow the prompts to save, delete, etc.

The length of your voicemail plays a big role in its efficacy. Try to keep the length of your voicemail between 15- 30 seconds. Anything more and you will be rambling, anything less, and you’re probably not checking one of the three boxes above as effectively as you need to.
When following up with leads, it’s important to have well-practiced voicemail scripts in place. You will leave a lot of them so do your best to come across as helpful, friendly, and professional
If your voicemails and emails are exactly the same, you lessen your chances of getting a response to either. So make them different by reserving certain questions for voicemail instead of email.
It’s better to say “I apologize” instead of “I’m sorry,” as the former is more effective in conveying your regrets without needing long explanations.
