Additionally, you will want to close out your voicemail by (re)stating your contact information and name and purpose of your call. This is another little trick of leaving voicemails - people tend to remember the first and last things you say more so than the middle, so by summarizing the important pieces of your message at the end, what you said is more likely to stick.

That’s why it’s never been more important for salespeople to be good at leaving messages. Not only that, but voicemail can—and should—be measured, coached, and improved.
Sending an email to each prospect before you call gives them an additional way to get in touch with you when they're ready. As you're leaving your voicemail, mention that you've sent them a quick email as well that has further details on who you are and the purpose of your call. As Florin Tatulea of Loopio explains:
Hello, this is Joan Tracy. I’m out of the office until Tuesday, May 23rd. I’ll be sure to return your call when I get back to the office, however, if you need immediate assistance, please call my colleague Sue at 444-444-4444. Thank you.
