1. Change your iPhone voicemail greeting using the Phone app on your device. The Phone app is the one with the white phone icon in a green box. For many users, this icon is one of the four permanent apps on the bottom of the screen.
If you have a visual voicemail from FaceTime you want to preserve, you can save it with the Files app:

You can choose where you would like to store your voicemail and fax messages—in the Calling User Portal or to a specified email address as a .tiff file. 1
This point is more or less an extension of the point above. If you want to avoid sounding awkward and long-winded, you need to know what you're going to say — every good sales voicemail is conducted with confidence and definitive intention. The key to delivering on both is having well-prepared, personalized voicemail messaging at your disposal.
3. Enter your Pin Number. You will need to know your pin or passcode in order to check your voicemail. If you don't have this code, you will have to retrieve it from your carrier. You will hear instructions to input your pin. Hit the pound key after you enter your pin. Follow instructions on how to listen to your voicemail. It's usually to push a certain number (like 1). That's all there is to it. You should be able to hear your voicemail messages now.
5.) If you’re calling a home line, and know the family, it’s nice to say a group “Hello” before leaving a message specifically for the person you called. Say something like this: “Hi everyone, it’s Maralee. Hope you’re enjoying Spring Break! Janet, I wanted to see if you and I could meet for lunch one day next week. My schedule is pretty open, and we could pick a restaurant near your office. I know your lunch schedules are tight. I’ll give you a call back at 7:00 tonight. Or I’m around all afternoon, so give me a call!” (Boy, home lines are becoming rare, aren’t they? We gave ours up a couple of months ago.)
Your voicemail inbox has a limit of 100 messages with a 10 minute maximum per message.
Funny Out of Office Autoresponder Messages. Hi, I’ll be out of the office until [MM/DD]. I will probably see your message because I don’t know how to relax. I will likely respond if I feel that I need to help in any way. If you don’t feel like adding to my workload, please contact [name] at [email] or …
We’ve all had to make phone calls we wish we didn’t have to make. While the phone rings, we pray the person doesn’t answer, so we can simply leave a voicemail message.
Whether it’s your last encounter or a recent e-book download, have a relevant reason for calling in order to get the prospect’s attention.
If you want to improve your voicemail performance, get deliberate in your practice. This means creating a highly structured practice routine that offers ample opportunity for repetition and immediate feedback.
The trick is to stay on the line even if you’ve already recorded the message. Never make the mistake of hanging up, as you will never be able to save yourself! So what should you do?
Introduce yourself at the beginning of your message. Take your time in providing your contact information, making sure you are loud and clear in the pronunciation of your name and number.

5. "Hello, [Person's name] is chasing new adventures and is no longer with [Company name]. Please forward all future requests to [New or interim person's name] at [phone number].
