That’s why it’s critical that each customer interaction with your business is consistent, positive, and represents the values and personality of your company. You can also upload an unavailable greeting using the OnSIP app. After logging in, click on the Voicemail Settings gear icon at the far right. Make sure that the Custom Greeting is toggled to "on." You will then see an option to upload a .wav file of your choice. This recording will serve as your unavailable message.

Procedure Log in to 8x8 Admin Console. Click Users. Find the user profile for which you want to edit voicemail settings. Click Pencil icon to the right of the user profile. Go to Voicemail settings. Under External Voicemail Greeting setting, click Change. Select an existing audio file, or click + Create audio files to record or upload a new audio file.

Traditional voicemail services once offered this feature, but visual voicemail (with a visual interface that lets you access messages directly) has mostly eliminated that possibility. If your phone does not have visual voicemail, and you have to call an inbox to hear your messages, you may still be able to use this feature.

You can allow callers to press 0 and be transferred to another phone number, of your choosing, when they reach your voicemail greeting.
