"When closing your voicemail, say that if you do not hear from them in three days, you promise to call back. Three days later, start your voicemail (or live call if you reach the person) with, 'As promised, I am calling again to share...' Have a great day.” This greeting lets your caller know that not only your time is precious, but you realize theirs is as well.
So that person doesn’t pick up, and you are thinking ok cool, I’ll just call back – but NO – then you hear that dreadful message (correction: dreaded message): “Hi, this is Luke Skywalker, I am not available right now, please leave a message after the beep. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you”
10. Introduce Yourself Like a Hollywood Blockbuster. If you want to make a custom, Hollywood’esque gesture in your next outgoing message, may we suggest having a booming voice introduce you.
