This sales voicemail practice consists of three phases: before, during, and after.
Not in a chatty mood? Here's how to go directly to voicemail or send a voice message.

Let's get back to performance anxiety. Our fear of being judged negatively fuels our performance anxiety in any situation. When it comes to voicemail, we are being judged on our tone of voice and the clarity of our information.
So what's the point? Should salespeople even bother with voicemails? Absolutely, and here's why.
Like almost any other sales communication, sales voicemails need to revolve around the concrete benefits your prospect can expect to see if they leverage your solution — not your product or service's suite of features.
A sales voicemail can only get so far if its content is too passive and your delivery is unsure or mousy. Remember, people want to buy from someone who knows what they're doing. If you give them too much of a "ball is in your court; feel free to get back to me or don't" feeling, they'll have a hard time trusting your expertise and dedication.
Unfortunately, not all phone numbers can be dialed: Slydial doesn't work with landline phones, third-party voicemail services, VoIP numbers, or prepaid mobile phones. If you subscribe to one of the premium plans, you can eliminate the ads on the service and send messages to multiple contacts at once.
Yes, I agree. It’s sad. But writing is a solitary activity, and I’m more of a people person. Even if the other person isn’t on the other end of the phone, it’s still nice to have someone to chat with. : )
Alternative services exist, but most voice-broadcasting services don't offer free service, and most focus on messaging dozens or hundreds of contacts at a time.
As you practice and score your sales voicemails, you’ll start to determine some best practices. Write these down, and use them as an outline for future calls. Here are a few of my best practices.
Your voicemail box can hold a total of 30 messages. New messages are kept for 14 to 30 days, depending on the type of voicemail. If you don’t save them during that time, they are automatically deleted. Saved messages are kept for 30 days, and if you don’t delete them during that time, they are automatically deleted.

4. “Thanks for calling [your company]. We’re looking forward to speaking with you. Let us call you back as soon as we are available by leaving your name, contact information and the reason for your call. Have a great day.” A simple, concise, and, of course, friendly voicemail greeting for your main business line.
Auto-attendants with a customized holiday greeting can be a festive way to mark the occasion. If you have a retail business, create a holiday greeting to inform customers of any limited-time sales you are offering. If your office is closed for the holiday, be sure you state this in your message.
If the problem is with your phone, the factory reset has a good chance of solving it. If not, contact your mobile service provider, to carry out some troubleshooting to help resolve the problem from their end.
A name recording is the most basic way to personalize your voicemail box. It inserts your name into the default unavailable greeting: “The person at mailbox [four-digit voicemail box number] is unavailable. Please leave your message after the tone. When done, hang up or press the pound key.” Dial *98 on your OnSIP-registered phone. Enter your voicemail box number. Enter the PIN/password for your voicemail box. Press 0 for voicemail box options. Press 2 to record your name. Default Unavailable Greeting
