9. Update Your Greeting Frequently. Many of the things that can make your voicemail great, also require that you update it pretty regularly. Information like deals you’re running, when you’re away, and who to contact while you’re out can take your greeting to the next level, but they’re obviously time sensitive.
2. Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN), and press #. Note: If this is your first time logging in, enter your temporary PIN and press #. You will be prompted to select a new PIN and enter it. Your temporary PIN will be provided when your account is set up. Keypad Greeting 1 Standard - plays during normal business hours 2 Closed - plays after standard business hours 3 Alternate - plays during a specific time period when you want to indicate special circumstances 4 Busy - plays when you are on another phone call 5 Sample Greeting: "Thank you for calling. 4. “Thanks for calling [your company]. We’re looking forward to speaking with you. Let us call you back as soon as we are available by leaving your name, contact information and the reason for your call. Have a great day.” A simple, concise, and, of course, friendly voicemail greeting for your main business line.
4. Turn on Autoplay. You don't have to press 1 to listen to messages if the Autoplay feature is on. To turn AutoPlay on or off: From the Main Menu, press 4 for Mailbox Settings.
For example, when leaving a voicemail you could say, "You can give me a call back at XYZ-1234. I am typically available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. I look forward to hearing from you." This lets your contact know exactly when they can reach you to continue the conversation.
“Congratulations! You’ve reached the right person! It’s [your name]. Unfortunately, you’ve called at the wrong time. Please leave a message with all your contact information, and I’ll call you back within 24 hours.”
If you have a voicemail service set up to cover the times when you’re not able to take phone calls, you may need to know how to delete the voicemail messages.

A solid sales voicemail can't be too intrusive or read like a list of demands. At no point should you say something like, "You need to call me back," or sound frustrated by the fact that they haven't gotten in touch with you.
