A commonly overlooked aspect of voicemail etiquette is your own mailbox greeting. A lot of us simply set it and forget it when we first get our phones, which for some of us was when we were teens, or we don’t have anything set up at all.
You can also upload an unavailable greeting using the OnSIP app. After logging in, click on the Voicemail Settings gear icon at the far right. Make sure that the Custom Greeting is toggled to "on." You will then see an option to upload a .wav file of your choice. This recording will serve as your unavailable message.

Standard greeting with phone number: "At the tone, please record your message to [phone number]."
You’re leaving a voicemail message for someone, and you mess up. Or maybe you’ve just said, “Dude—Your behavior at lunch was appalling,” and you realize that a more tactful wording might be appropriate.
This ensures understanding and helps the prospect write it down accurately. However, don’t repeat yourself—say the same thing in a different way.

There is something about that voicemail beep that sends brains into panic mode, and we will start spewing out words as fast as possible to get the awkwardness of talking to a machine over with. To tell you the truth, I don’t like when people leave me a Voicemail message. I prefer when they text me on my phone or email me. I can see what the call is about straight away. It saves me time from logging into my Voicemail and playing the message, then waiting for it to finish. I am a bit impatient.
Stuttering, rambling, or repeating yourself all make for less-than-stellar sales voicemails that prospects will be less inclined to respond to. That's why you can't try to figure out what you want to say as you're leaving the message.
