A good first impression goes a long way, and a voicemail greeting is the first impression to your business. An expertly crafted voicemail script lets your clients know you’re dependable, capable, and confident. An unprofessional voicemail script, on the other hand, can do the exact opposite.
When you’re looking for a job, a good rule of thumb is to answer your phone as often as you can. You never know when a recruiter might be calling to set up an in-person meeting, or conduct a phone interview.

Your voicemail greeting is the first introduction to your office — what kind of impression do you want to leave?

You will need to access the voicemail menu of your recipient for deleting or re-recording your voicemail. Try pressing * or # on the dial pad to access the menu. This works for both mobile phones and landlines unless the recipient has changed the options.
Navigate to Settings → General → Reset → Reset Network Settings → Enter your password → Reset Network Settings.
Do you have a landline at work? Make sure that all your phones, personal and business, have good clear, professional English voicemail greetings.
“Keep your voicemail messages short, sweet, and snappy," advises Will Craig, Managing Director of LeaseFetcher. "Don’t try and go into the nitty gritty details of the discussion you’d like to have with them—save that for your actual chat. Alternatively, don’t leave them in the dark about what you want to talk about either. A simple 20-second voicemail letting them know the nature of your query will suffice."
Remember, your prospects (and you too, if you're honest) care mainly about themselves. In other words, your sales voicemails will be much more successful if the benefit to the prospect is clearly stated.
First-time sales outreach response is plummeting. According to Jill Konrath, 97% of all business calls now go to voicemail.
Note: If necessary, delete an existing greeting (limit of 2 greetings) to make room for the new greeting: Tap the Menu key, tap Delete greetings, tap the check box next to the desired greeting, and then tap Delete. Tap the Record icon to record your greeting. Tap the Stop recording icon to stop recording.
