Before you make any calls, start with setting a goal. Will you be working on your tone? Your passion? The length of the message?
By default, the telephone number is the one assigned to you by your organization, but it could also be a cell phone number or email address. In that case, voice mail would be played back through your email Inbox.

It doesn’t matter what you save to your phone, computer or tablet — everything you keep on your devices should be considered private unless you give someone else permission to look through your files, images and apps.
These guys do it all. They have a voice-over service (including writing the greeting script) and transfer the greeting to your phone in super high quality. For example, instead of saying, “Hi, I was wondering if you’re looking for different web hosting,” you could personalize it by saying, “Hi [name]. I wanted to pick your brain about the web host [company name] is currently using. What are the challenges or successes you’ve had with it?”
If you have a call forwarding set up, it is likely to cause conflicts with voicemail. To turn off Call Forwarding or make sure it is not enabled:
When leaving your voicemail and phone number, do not say, "Please call me back at ..." Nothing sounds more like a salesperson making a cold call then saying, "please call me back at...".
Like almost any other sales communication, sales voicemails need to revolve around the concrete benefits your prospect can expect to see if they leverage your solution — not your product or service's suite of features.
