Leave a specific request. What do you want your listener to do? Sure, you want them to call you back, but why? To answer a question? To set up an appointment? People will appreciate it if you give them specific actions for their call back. That way they’ll know they won’t be wasting a lot of time on the call back trying to figure out what you want.

As the odds of receiving a call back from your voicemail message are already low, you need to be very specific about what you say in your voicemail to give you the greatest chance of getting a call back. What you absolutely do NOT want to do is make yourself sound like a salesperson making a cold call. Instead, you want to sound like a very confident business colleague who deserves the respect of getting a call back.
Whether it’s your last encounter or a recent e-book download, have a relevant reason for calling in order to get the prospect’s attention.

You and I haven’t spoken yet, but I’ve been doing some research on your company and I think you’re a great fit for [Your Company's Solution]. Be sure to include all important details, like why you are calling, your contact number, your name and anything else that’s necessary. If you are following up a previous voicemail, say so. If you had been confusing in the previous voicemail, apologize and proceed with your message.
Using a second phone, dial the Voicemails Forever Access number closest to you (USA: 201-285-5965) and when prompted enter your 8 digit Voicemails Forever PIN number.
Any time you're checking voicemail from a phone line that is not your home line, you are required to enter your voicemail PIN. Did you forget your PIN? You can reset it.

That means we need to be as detailed as possible for our callers’ convenience. Yet, we still kept it brief and friendly.
With a voicemail, though, you (should) know exactly who you’re calling – their name, their company’s name, how many employees they have, etc. Your message can be hyper-customized to that one person you’re calling. When you make that message just for them, they’ll feel more of a responsibility to return your call.
