We’re all familiar with this type of voicemail greeting. Simply put, a caller reaches you by dialing your number or extension directly. For an optimal personal voicemail greeting, be clear about who you are, the team you’re on, and when the caller can expect a callback. If that’s the case, use a general voicemail greeting that accommodates both scenarios.
Most importantly, have fun with it. If you don't enjoy leaving a voicemail, you might not be in the right job.

Obviously, I need to update it. And if you haven't changed your voicemail greeting in over a year, you're likely in the same boat.
If you wrapped up a meeting earlier in the day but weren't able to schedule a follow-up appointment, leave this voicemail a few hours later.
