3. Click on your phone, then “Scan,” if you’re prompted to confirm what type of data to scan select “Voicemails.”
Generally, these greetings should be brief for an individual. State your name and a query for the caller's information. You can also include a backup number for people to reach you if you like. For an organization, it's a good idea to announce your standard office hours. Dial *98 on your OnSIP-registered phone. Enter your voicemail box number. Enter the PIN/password for your voicemail box. Press 0 for voicemail box options. Press 1 for unavailable greeting.
Note: There is never a reason to give your sales pitch on voice mail. No one is there to say yes. Your objective is to make contact. Your objective is to provide enough information to create positive response.

If someone is listening to your voicemail greeting it's only because they intend to leave you a message. Don't make them listen to 3 minutes of rambling in order to do so. Is it for someone you have not met before OR is it your friend? I think it’s easier when it’s your friend haha You can just say: Hey, man. It’s me. Call me back. Simple.
19. "Hello, you've reached [your name]. I'm currently [exploring Asia, hiking through the jungle in Costa Rica, hanging out on the beach in Bermuda] — or more likely, [recovering from extreme jet lag, googling ‘Are red spiders poisonous,' or looking for SPF 150 sunscreen] and won't be back in the office until [date]. Practice your spiel so you can speak with authority. This lets the caller know how confident, qualified, and prepared you are. The goal is to sound like you’ve been doing this for years, not a few minutes.
