Recently one of my students asked a great question about voicemail in English and I thought that you might have the same question as well.
On the "Voicemail greeting" tab, click on the "Record a greeting" button to record the voicemail greetings. A voicemail's time is approximately is around 10 seconds, wait for it to finish. Once done recording, click on the "Stop" button at the center of the recording tab to end it.
While both types of messages should be customized to a given buyer, voicemails should be ultra-specific. In an email, I might ask for a referral, an appointment, or feedback on a content asset they downloaded. These sorts of classic questions -- while still tailored to the buyer -- can be customized for reuse with another prospect, or another 100 prospects.
Continue to test voicemails as you score your results. For example, RingDNA finds the best times to call are 6:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The worst times are Monday mornings from 6:00 a.m. to noon and Friday afternoons. Try different call times and see what works for you.
A separate after-hours attendant menu can inform callers that your office is closed, state your business’ operating hours, and provide options that callers can immediately act upon. For example, you can direct them to your website for FAQs. If your business provides an account login page, remind your customers that they can login at any time to get general account information. Obviously, prospects aren't going to listen to an overly long voicemail from a caller whose number they don't recognize, so pushing past 30 seconds ensures the message will get deleted almost immediately. On the other hand, buyers are also unlikely to listen to an overly short message.
